Chief Executive Officer
Jim is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Merlin1. He is an experienced aerospace industry executive who has held senior management positions with both airframe manufacturers and financial institutions. Jim has a Learjet type rating and is an experienced Merlin Captain.
Director of Operations
Dave has accumulated more than 30,000 flight hours. We gladly welcomed him to Merlin1 soon after our inception in late 2007. Dave flies the line, conducts all of our flight training but more importantly, sets the tone and policies for all Merlin1 flight operations.
Scott began his career in aviation in 1983 at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. His breadth of experience encompasses everything from flying turboprops over the Rocky Mountains to a Boeing-747 through North Korea.
Director of Maintenance
Brian excels at both airframe and engine maintenance, as well as electronics (avionics). He started his aviation career with the USAF in 1977 and has been working on Merlin's since 1982. Brian also has more than 15 years of experience on Learjets.
Director of Customer Service
Kylie gets our customers where they want to go, when they want to go, how they want to go. Her formal education lies in accounting but her seven years at Merlin1 have seen her responsibilities evolve in unique ways. Kylie personal touch is a great asset to Merlin1.
Chief Financial Officer
Matt has been with Merlin1 for more than three years, joining us after an extended stay at Landmark Aviation (a large FBO chain). His aviation background as well as his experience as a CPA and CFP make Matt uniquely suited to manage the tasks of budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing all things financial.
Director of Training
Ernie, a retired Naval Aviator and Continental Captain, has been with Merlin1 since early 2012 and is an integral part of our team. His 'no nonsense', unflappable approach to flying and instructing has been a real asset to Merlin1.
Personal Flight Concierge
After completing her necessary tours in the Navy, Cassey returned to her hometown of San Antonio to continue her education in accounting. Her quick wit and detail-oriented approach are greatly appreciated by our customers. One call to Cassey is all it takes to handle all of your scheduling needs.
